Is it normal to burn myself when upset?

I have anger issues. I usually get angry instead of sad. But I do get sad over big losses, like when my fiancé left me. When I get really angry to the point of wanting to break something or hurt someone, or sad to the point of crying uncontrollably, I will put matches out on myself to calm myself down. Is this normal for anyone? Obviously it's not healthy but does anyone do this?

That will help, won't it? Whenever something bad happens, just cause skin damage to yourself. Don't bother trying to fix it or anything, just burn your arms.

well, if your brain releases enough chemicals to cause euphoria from that, by all means continue.

It is a normal reaction but it's not good for you to harm yourself
