    Face to face.

Not by phone and definitely not by text like my ex ( bitch)

As for what to say I don't know her or the situation

Whoa...well, that does sound quite daunting. I'm sorry to hear it.

I for one would never change my religion for anyone.

Face to face but by the way you put it seems you fell some kind of guilt.
What have you done to her? Promisses you can't fulfill?

Better think twice before doing what so ever.
If you really like her and want to finish with the relation don't hurt her. Don't tell her you cheated on her and just tell her that after thinking a lot you reached the conclusion you are not prepared to have any king of relationship and marriage is not a priority in your life for now.
Try to be a good friend of her and help to get trough it.
Nobody cheats by mistake. We cheat because we are human and that's it.
I just don't understand why you feel so depressed. If you think you'll feel better and relieved telling her is wrong coz you are thinking about you and your feelings and not about her.
Don't tell her. Most probably she is a nice girl and doesn't deserve it. Think before about her now.
Again. Now first her feelings than you. And don't be depressed.

    Yes it's normal to breakup.

Relationships end all the time, as I'm sure you know.

    Odd question...

"I don't want to hurt her"

Break ups always hurt. Just tell her that you want to break up and why.
