Is it normal to break up with girlfriend for friends

so i recently graduated from college and all my friends/artistic collaborators are moving to CITY#1. but my girlfriend, who is older, lives and is happy in CITY#2. we are very in love and she is amazing and beautiful-- i could see myself with her forever. however, i'm nervous about moving to CITY#2 for just one person, and i care about my friends and art projects. i have a potential job in both places. but i feel like a dumbass for throwing a perfect relationship away. girlfriend is mad about indecisiveness. what do i do? am i just being an idiot?

    Dude.. Either way a choice has to be made. And when that decision is made.. One end of the stick is not going to happy.

    Perhaps compromise. Go for your girl.. And hopefully your buds will understand. You can still see them at times.. Perhaps a vacation trip to see them with your woman will be fun. Either way.. Just don't get left standing behind a bunch of "what ifs" years from now.

    If you really love her then be with her. Though she should be willing to compromise as well. Whatever that may be.

    Yeah I agree ^^^ and wonder where is the "we" in this decision? You must be a bit unsure of that, and of putting all your eggs in one basket. Your gf must understand how difficult this is. Rainbow is right, this could be better if a mutual decision.

    I think you need to talk with her. It should be a mutual decision. People on this website want to help, but no one except for the two of you really know what would be best for you individually and your relationship.

    You know, if SHE really loves YOU she'd want you to go somewhere where you can make the most out of your art (or whatever you do). Long distance is hard but not impossible, and you could still see each other. But whatever, I just think that if you're really in love either decision should be easy.
