Is it normal to blow out snot in the shower?

My dad blows out snot in the shower and sometimes in the sink. I often hear him snotting and shout 'UUUUURGH' really loudly to shame him. Bogies and snot get stuck on the walls, in the sink, in the bath and in the plughole.

I have confronted him about it and he says that all men do it and I say why don't you just blow your nose on a tissue rather than your hand but there's no getting through to him.

Today I put a sign up on the shower window saying 'REMOVE YOUR SNOT AND BOGIES DAD' with little arrows pointing to his muck, he did remove it and bleached the whole bathroom but i'm expecting he'll be snotting again tomorrow.

Is it normal to snot in the shower/sink?

    It's very sad, but for men it's normal. My ex used to do that... One of the reasons we're not together anymore.

    I dont see the problem if it goes down the drain. I pee in the shower as well.. If you clean the mess up its normal :p

    EWWWW! My sister's boyfriend does this no matter where he is. Ughh. I gag every time.

    It's not normal the way your dad does it. It's just gross and lazy. However my bf does it in the shower but he makes sure it goes down the drain and he washes everything afterward.

    This is uber normal, girls shouldnt whine too much, their hair is the problem, it gets stuck in the sink etc

    Ya I do it in the shower but itgoes down the drain... The mess he leaves is nasty though :s

    I do it in the shower but I do it into my hands and rinse if off down the drain. I also do it outside if I must. It's called a snot rocket! Blowing it all over the sink is gross though.

    I do it and see nothing wrong. Well only the shower part. Mainly Bc its like just doing it in the floor only theres lots of soapy water to help wash it down the drain. But if it's on the walls and sinks and such, there should be atleast some effort to clean up
