Is it normal to bleed every time i have a poo?

I have had rectal bleeding for about 13 years. I have been diagnosed with piles and an anal fissure and about 6 years ago I had a colonoscopy which showed my bowel was healthy apart from my IBS. The thing is I've been using ointments provided by my doctor for years for relief of these things but they never really go away. The other day the toilet was completely red full of blood and now I am in agony. I have a huge hard lump in my rectum. Is this normal? Does anyone else continually suffer this problem?

Do you have acid reflux disease? Rectal bleeding can be caused by that.

oh yikes that sounds awful.. you should try using herbs as medicine in tea. you can research online as to whatherb to use and get the organic version to maximize its effectiveness.

  • I've been to see many doctors about it. But maybe you're right maybe I should just ask one more. Just wondered if I'm the only one! Ps I love your username :)

Perhaps you should switch doctors or switch to a specialist, obviously if it isn't working for you then you should discuss your problems with a medical professional. Sounds like a real bad issue, especially when your bleeding internally, and you shouldn't be asking that kind of medical advice here and just go and get checked out, ASAP.
