Is it normal to binge smoke?

I used to chain smoke all the time. A couple years ago I quit but then I started smoking again when I drink.
When I am sober I do not smoke, but when I go drinking at the bar I will smoke a whole pack and sometimes then some within 3-4 hours. Then I wont smoke at all for a couple days and then repeat the process. In the in between time I don't smoke.

sure it's normal for the heavily addicted. chain smoking is quite a well documented thing for addicts in fact the more regularly you smoke over the years the greater your consumption becomes. If you feel it is out of control (which I sense through you making an Is it normal post out of it) you should take steps to limit your dependency.

Not great for you, but, fairly normal. One of my very hot-bodied, former model (but, alas..lesbian) female friends quit smoking, but, when goes out and drinks, will either bum smokes from people, or just go get a pack for herself.

I was out with her one night after work (she needed a ride home, so we stopped for a bit). After a few drinks at the first of two stops, we were in my car, and, as she knows her body drives guys crazy, even though we can't have it, unbuttoned her shirt and begged me to stop at the mini-mart, and go in for smokes for her. Said she was feeling so good, needed to smoke. I went in, bought her a pack, and by the time we got to the next place, she'd wolfed down 5 smokes, in a row..By evening's end, the pack was nearly gone.
