      You are right. Women use a different part of the brain for problem solving than men. That's why they genuinly solve many problems with emotional superstitious rather than reason and logic. If you give a man a high dosage of Oestrogen for a short period of time the male brain acts in the same way to problem solving - emotional rather than reason + logic. If you give women a high dosage of testosterone for a short period of time they gain a reason and logic outlook. I got this info from a book called 'The Male Brain'.

        Now all you have to do is to use a bit of empirical data to support this assertion. The problem is, using anecdotal evidence similar to the one you provide, I can contradict your assertion (very easy to find emotional breakdown of groups of men online. Example: the whiny response to Anita Sarkeesian videos. Frankly,the videos sucked, but the emotional male tantrum that ensued was ridiculous).
        So, how do we distinguish facts based on reality from facts pulled out of an ass? Scientific method!
        First, the scientific method is used to find falsehoods, there are no "proofs" in science in the colloquial sense, only evidence.
        The assertion made must be falsifiable, and you must try to show your hypothesis wrong in order to demonstrate its strength.
        Repeatability is important. Also, to avoid skewed results, a higher number of studies will yield a smaller (therefore better) confidence interval. Sample size (over 30) is less important than the amount of studies, for example, it is better to have 10 studies with a 1000 people sample than 1 study with 10000. It will soften the skewing effect of errors.
        Keep in mind that most of these studies are unreliable. They were performed in huge proportions on western, Caucasian, educated middle class psychology undergrads. A recent study (easy to find online) found that this group (western, educated, etc.) was actually a huge outlier in the general world population. In other words, hardly representative of anybody but themselves.
        Studies have also found that social conditioning influenced greatly mental capacity. For example, male students who were good in math, but then were confronted with an authority figure saying that men were not as capable at math than women, ended up performing worse in subsequent tests. This needs to be controlled when looking for biological differences (although we cannot fully distinguish biological from social, as they appear to feed each other)
        So now that we are aware of the basic procedure to find out whether a hypothesis is based in reality, and a few potential problems, lets test it.
        In my own research, I have only seen studies which did not support your assertion. Lets start with IQ. Most studies show make/female IQs to be equivalents. Some have shown a one point difference, but this is not statistically significant, particularly due to the social aspect. In fact, IQ tests between "races" have shown a greater difference, and it is clear that races have equivalent capacities (I won't get into it here). Certain tests showed that men tended to be more at the tail ends of the distribution, creating an illusion of similarity, but this too has been questioned, as the sample of these studies (specifically those about very high IQ) aren't random, but peer selected.
        Your comment about testosterone and oestrogen is also problematic, because these hormones are hardly what makes gender differences. I am sure you know, for example that women have testosterone, sometimes more than a man (but on average, of course, men have more). Mental capacities are not correlated to hormones. For example, trans men do not become more rational and logical after starting hormonal treatments to transition from female to male. It does affect behaviour in other ways though.
        This is just a small outline on this question, and information is readily available, especially if you have access to an academic database. I would be interested in finding empirical evidence supporting your assertion. It is clear that if it can be demonstrated, the scientists publishing the findings would become very successful. It is an interesting subject.
