Is it normal to beleive people can have powers?

I read a series called the Immortal series. In it, it says people can minfest things, it just takes a little longer than it would for imaginary creatures. Well, this happens all the time: I randomly think of something (A t.v. show, a song, a movie, a person, thinking I have a text etc.) and then, a few days or a week later it happens! I see that show, hear that song, see that movie, hear from that person, and get a text (seconds after I check my phone)!!! It makes no sense. I don't look for these things. They happen SO often that it can't just be a couincedense! It's insane. So, is it normal to think that people could acctually have powers?

  • We all do, but many people shut it off, block it, are too distracted by material things, or just lack the belief. You're going to get a very low normal percentage, and I'm going to get rude replies, but don't stop believing ;)

That would explain how shuffle on my ipoop seems to read my mood so often.. :p ive heard about that though, it's interesting stuff. Until something is either proven or disproven, there's no harm in theorizing about it. :) makes you think. The world is more complex than we realize.

I'll believe it if you can think about the girl I have a crush on and she'll want to date me.

actually there have been study's proving that our brains can see into the future (srs science look it up)
So yeah it's not normal to believe people have powers, people do have them and have diferent development stages too but it's not a power per se more something we all have like everyone has a sense of smell but some people have it on a completly diferent level from others

Ugh. Calculating immediate probability is a more precise term. If we could collectively see into the future with any precision, there'd be no lottery.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a pagan and a practitioner of the Old Way. It's just that, aside from Harry Potter-esque fantasy, much (but not all) of what the Old Way was...was simply Science (medicine, chemistry, physics) and Psychology (Jungian). Applying yourself in these two spheres will give you all the magick you can handle.

There is new scientific research leading people to believe that there is more to our minds than we understand at this point. I don't know if that reaches to precognition or not, never saw that mentioned anywhere.

That's like saying "There are more sides to the moon besides the one we can see". Self-evident and irrelevant to a general argument of our metaphysical possibilities. Further...there's considerable debate among scientist on where the consciousness actually resides. Quantum consciousness is something you should look up.

Shit, sorry I didn't feel like writing a novel, there's no need to be condescending here, I was just making a suggestion if you hadn't read about the shit already.
