Is it normal to become aware...

Is it normal to become highly aware of your teeth during sleep? As in if they are clenched together I become aware of it and try to separate top and bottom teeth to avoid grinding.

But then it's always comfier with them touching. But I still don't know if they're meant to or not.

Sometimes it stops me from going to sleep because I'm too aware of my teeth clenched together. IIN?

What's the normal teeth position for sleep?

    You might have Bruxism.

I remember I used to wake up with headaches that would last throughout the day. I happened to mention this to my dentists, and they discovered that I clenched my teeth at night. I was prescribed night guards, and problem solved.

I used to wake up in the middle of the night because I was clenching, and I would force my jaw to open. This happened multiple times... it's much more relaxing to sleep with your mouth closed, but it's not healthy for your teeth when you grind them.

You can just go to walgreens and buy a nightguard. They sell them for like $15
