Is it normal to become a vegetarian?

I love animals nd hate the fact that we kill them for food! God gave us planty of fruits, vegetables, legumes and plants etc... In order to have a complete nutrition! I understand the fact of eating animals to survive hunger was an option but i guess everyone should start to think about these harsh crimes humanity has been always making against animals! Animals have feelings! They actually cry before being slaughtered! They have fears, families and the right to live! If people start to think deep in this issue! We all become vegeterians!

Jesus, people like you get on my nerves.

Ever notice that animals kill other animals, and they cry too before getting killed? It's a dog eat dog world, and the only reason people eat animals is because of the nutrition it can give us. Not all vegetables can give us that.

Of course, there are people that waste meat, but do you honestly expect the world to give up a food source because "animals have feelings"?

I also find it funny when you mention that they have families, because if a cheetah cub gets killed, the parents may mourn for a bit, but then they move on and don't care. It's like the cub never existed.

  • The sentence god gave us plenty of fruits and blah blah is funny. Last time I checked, humans had to work for it to grow. Anyways not everyone likes to eat veggies and fruits. If it came down to everyone only eating that, I'd shoot myself. Gimme my steak esti!

I think that our system can handle meat because we are meant to eat it. Some meat eaters have lived long and healthy lives.

And what about animals being eaten in nature and the animals who eat them?

If we don't kill animals they start to over populate, then they starve. Is that what you want animals to starve to death? So if for there own good we need to kill them it is better to eat them then leave a rotting carcass.

I can understand you feeling that it's cruel the way we slaughter animals. I can back that 100% but don't you dare try and bullshit at me that we weren't meant to eat it / don't need to eat it / meat isn't good for us etc.

I can back the animal rights, I can't back blatant idiocy.

Normal to be a vegetarian, just so long as you don't press it on other people (like religion or sexuality. What you like is fine so long as it doesn't effect me!)

  • I know it's cruel but you CAN'T STOP people from doing the things they love. Thus includes gay marriage, eating animals, and smoking pot. It's been around for hundreds of years. It'll be that way until the end of time.

You are so right!!!!! I'm a vegetarian and I could never eat meat. It's so cruel not to mention unhealthy. Read the book skinnybitch (or skinnybastard if you are a boy.) It's actually very informative and it will change your life! You will never eat meat again! No one would if they knew the truth. lol

bah, as far as how cruel animals are treated so I can get my meat, I know but I still eat it. If your truth as to do with health I couldn't care less.

It sucks the way animals are pretty much grown as if they had less feelings than plants but I like my meat damn it, lol I think the problem resides in the capitalism approach more than meat eaters though.

You make a choice about what you are willing to eat. Other people make their choices. And we all find ways to justify what we think. I'm a vegetarian who eats fish and I can't justify that any more than I could fail to see why someone eats meat. I can't justify militancy. But I can be very persuasive when I turn my mind to it.

  • It's normal to be a vegetarian, but don't get too preachy to the omnivores because they will tune you out. Then how will you convince them you're right, if they won't even listen to you?
