My advice to you is you have to think like a girl/woman. Think about what women are interested in. As soon as you start thinking like a man you scare them off. If it seems that you are trying to hard to get them to like you it is also a turn off.

I suggest you start off the relationship and just imagine that she was another one of your guy friends. Girls enjoy hanging out, going to movies, eating at restaurants, shopping, and outdoor activities.

Everyone enjoys it when people ask about the other person. Try to find out as much as you can about the other person without it seeming as though you are interrogating her. I'm not Dr. Love but it's a good start.

Take it slow and don't try to rush anything. It takes time to build trust.

There's actually a girl out there, somewhere, feeling like you are right now. It's possible that you've just had bad luck with girls. Actually, I'm quite like you, never have so much as held a girls hands. My advice would be to go out and meet women. If they are not going to you then go to them. Just have confidence and the right girl will come.

Honestly, don't worry about being weird. I know it's such a cliché, but just be yourself. Be nice to girls, keep trying to make conversation, but don't sweat it if they just don't seem interested. One day you'll meet a girl who LOVES whatever weirdness you have, and you'll be glad you didn't change to impress all those superficial girls.

19 is still so young, and in my opinion, 19 year old girls have some growing up to do before they realise that all the best guys are actually the kinda weird ones ;)

This happens to some girls as well. You are certainly not alone in this. Give yourself time to grow more confident when approaching girls and talking to them. Next time you do this say to yourself that there is nothing wrong with what you are doing, that you are just talking to a girl just like you would talk to any other person, that you will try your best; and make sure to be who you are. Don't pretend to be somebody who you are not. She might be feeling the same way you do, but we never know how the other person might be feeling as we concentrate too much on our feelings which in effect might make you appear other than what you would like to.

Do you act the same on the Internet with girls as you do in real life? If so message me and we will have a chat. I will see if what you say is weird. ...but I'm not sure if your friends meant you appear weird or are in general weird. If they don't even give you a chance to talk to them it has to be your appearance and the way you present yourself.

Play a little game/experiment. Change your clothes/hair and general "style" for a week and see if they respond then. If so, then they're probably only superficial snobs who can't look past an individuals appearance.
