It's worse when you read the book. I remember thinking: what the hell, he's the good guy, everyone is doomed now, what's going to happen next... Good books.
Eh. ... Considering he looked just like Boromir who also died early in a series.... I'd have thought people would be kinda use to him doing the same thing over again?

Its supposed to be a very sad, emotional scene, so yes youre only reacting how the directors hoped you would react
