Is it normal to be unconfident?
I play for an all black team and I'm the only white girl. I don't start but I'm like the 7th player. Is it normal to be unconfident when your playing? I almost feel out of place... IIN?

Look past the color, will you? Before you start thinking all that low confidence stuff, first ask yourself; Did you deserve your spot on the team? If you managed to get into the team through tryouts, then you've definitely earned it and must now earn your keep. If there were no tryouts, it's time for you to show them your worth.
You can succeed if you have consistency, diligence, and confidence. And maybe some luck. So, good luck.
Blacks are born slightly more athletic than whites, but whites tend to work harder when they really want something. Do you really want it? If you have better things to do, don't worry about it. But if it's something you really care about, you need to practice at every opportunity. When I first started playing, I was the worst player on my team, but I wanted to get better. I practiced at least 2 hours a day, and now I'm the best player on the team. So ask yourself, how much do you want it?
I don't know, but try not to think so much about what color everybody is--if they're better than you, try saying "they're all better than me," rather than "they're all black." Even black people are allowed to suck at sports. Unfortunately, sucking at sports is kind of a universal human condition: most people of all colors suck at sports. It's true. We're a beautiful rainbow of miserable, bumbling fools of every color--God or someone created us all, and created us unable to muster the coordination to simply dribble a ball. And, seeing that this was bad, he took pity upon us, and suggested we enjoy sports by watching better people, like you, play them. I'm just guessing... And rest assured, you're certainly better than most of us, if you're actually playing.
I don't know how long you've been on that team but I almost always feel like that if I join a new team
A lot of people feel that way when they stick out. Just be yourself. And try to think about the sport, not your differences. It's good to talk to someone, too. :)
