Is it normal to be uncomfortable with your own fertility?

I find it creepy that (I think) I am fertile. I feel like emitting sperm is like shedding viruses from a cold. It is creepy that it could "infect" a girl. Sometimes I have dreams about quick-and-easily self vasectomizing by snipping the vas deferens with wire cutters (since it is a relatively external organ). In the dream, I then feel better like someone who has gotten over the flu and is no longer contagious.

I don't get how some men find their fertility makes them a "real man". I guess these types of body issues are more common with women who find the idea of being pregnant creepy.

    I'm a girl, although I just thought I'd share my opinion about my fertility XD

    When I think about it, the fact that I can grow another living thing inside me kind of creeps me out. I've had dreams before about being pregnant, and it scared the shit out of me, haha.

      Especially when you are abducted and impregnated by space aliens that look like big blue lizards.

    When I first discovered that I could make sperm the idea that in theory I could now become a dad was a weird and scary concept.

    I have the opposite too. I know I am fertile now but I can't have kids till I'm done uni & I'm not even at uni yet! Haha I get what you mean though, just don't make any hasty decisions before you are sure (: coz one day you might change your mind x

    I'm the opposite i have this constant fear of being infertile and the guy i marry wants a family he lives me and i end up alone with 5 dogs or cats with nothing but the tv & internet to keep me company. admittedly it's a bit extreme but having had eating disorders and how they mess up your fertility chances. i'm obsessed with fertility issues i hope i'm a very fertile human. okay i'm done now :)

      I hope I'm infertile. I don't want to have kids. Since I don't want to have kids, a period is pointless. If I'm infertile, I won't have a period. End of story.

      Sadly, I'm a very fertile person.
