Is it normal to be unable to keep a convo going with the guy you like

I've been talking/texting this guys for about a month now, and we really dont talk about that much, besides what he wants to talk about (sex), he seems to want to talk to me, but when i change the subject he always has short answers, and im usually the one to keep the convo going. Does this mean he doesnt like me? Am i really that boring?

    He might simply have poor conversation skills like me. I hate smalltalk because I suck at it.

    He wants to have sex with you. Or at least foreplay. This may sound terrible, but if you like him, go for it. Try to show him that you know what sex is, and you don't want to talk about it, but to show him that you don't. He's trying to remind you that he knows what sex is. He wants it, and if he will talk to you about it, he will experience it with you.
