Is it normal to be typing all the time (without a keyboard)?

I have been doing this as long as I can remember: I type all the time. What I mean is when I'm watching something on tv, talking to someone, thinking, etc, I tap with my fingers what is being said as if I were typing on a keyboard. Whatever my fingers are resting on becomes my keyboard (the couch, my leg, my palm.) Its usually subconscious but I catch myself doing it sometimes. No one has ever noticed me doing it and asked me what I was doing but my friends who know about it catch me doing it sometimes and ask me jokingly what I'm typing lol. Does anyone do this or know of anyone else who does?

    Nervous habit, perfectly normal. I'm constantly tapping my fingers, except I keep my finger tapping rhythmic. I guess it's where I love music and am a musical person

    I can type about 44 words a minute with a 99% accuracy rate. Yeah I just thought I would brag about it. People in class always have to steer at me when I am typing. No one understand how uncomfortable it gets.

    A high paying job typing? Sorry were not in the 80s anymore. It's just a nervous tick. Normal

    WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! we do the same exact thing! That is so crazy! We should start a club. LOL I thought I was the only person on the planet who did this. so strange, useless,and random. But there IS someone else out there. Sometimes, i'll type something out on my husbands skin, like, curse him out when i'm pissed off and he is never the wiser to what just happened. And I think its the funniest shit ever.

      I can't believe someone else does this! I've told so many people about it, like its an interesting thing to tell people about when you're getting to know them... but no one has ever heard of it before. That's so cool that someone else does the same thing haha.

    If u r keeping up with the conversation and u can type that fast and accurately maybe get a job in an office where u can earn lots of money and do something u do anyway
