Is it normal to be turned on by heartbeats?

Not like, goring someone and ripping out their heart Indiana Jones style. I have a boyfriend and when we cuddle, sometimes I can hear his heartbeat and it just really gets me? At first I thought it was just being close to him, but the other day he was holding me and we were kissing and i could hear how his heart kept speeding up and it got me so turned on...? i really don't know why... Is this normal?

    Totally normal. You're getting something out of his excitement for you.
    It's arousing when somebody you like is attracted to you, right? Well, same thing goes here, except it's not simply inferred, but explicitly understood.

    In a way, it's somewhat related to an erection. While an erection is a visual representation of somebody's attraction to you, an increasing heartbeat can be an audible representation.
    Both of which are powered by blood. What a coincidence! :D

    I've heard the sound of a heartbeat can be some sort of mother-child nurturing type thing to get the kid to feel comfortable. Some shit like that. So I guess it's normal.

      its definitely the heartbeat, ive made out with him before and it didnt mke me feel quite the same way... still turned me on though lol
