Is it normal to be turned on by animal transformations?

I'm not a furry, but I get really turned on by animal transformations. It all started when I was a kid, when I watched the "I Was A Teenage Gary" episode of SpongeBob SquarePants, when the titular character transforms, slowly and painfully, into a snail. This scene both horrified and fascinated me when I was younger, and now I'm a young adult, animal transformation is fetish for me.

It's the humiliation aspect of it that does it for me. The thought of a person forced to, against their will, go through a disturbing transformation into an animal (particularly ones with distinctive features), losing everything human about them in the process from their body parts to their voice to their mannerisms, is a real turn-on for me. Especially if there are people watching and laughing at the transformation as it takes place, doing nothing to help the victim as he or she pleads hopelessly for assistance but then loses their ability to communicate due to gaining an animal voice, and then knowing that they will have to adapt to their new appearance with no way to ever change back.

Like I said though, I'm not a furry. I have no interest in fursonas or fursuits or anthro animal conventions, or anything like that. I just find animal transformations really erotic, and I enjoy this fetish through art, videos, and stories. So is this a normal fetish, or is there something wrong with me?

    • Animorphs was another early trigger of this fetish when I was a kid. I never read the books but I looked at the covers in the library.

I guess it's normal since most werewolf movies (The Howling, e.g.) have a strong erotic undercurrent running through them.

Most people aren't turned on by the sight of people transforming into other things against their will, so what makes you consider it normal? :/

    Just a normal fetish.

Maybe you should try BDSM. You like the loss of control.

    • Nah. BDSM does nothing for me. In fact, the idea of a woman tied up with her mouth covered up is totally barbaric to me, so I'd never find it erotic. On the other hand, I find animal transformations erotic because they cannot actually happen. It's all make-believe, and therefore completely harmless.

I read a goosebumps novel when I was a kid, siblings were transformed into chickens against their will. I had this feeling that I couldn't explain....until I had my first sexual encounter years later. I remember that spongebob episode, your account mirrors mine.

Dude. That is so weird. The exact same thing goes for me, even the sponge bob episode. I would watch that over and over and I am not a furry. I just accept the fact that I can’t help myself, but I never ever talk about it.

I enjoyed the transformation in that movie, but I never found that actor remotely attractive.

Just reading that made my skin crawl. Become a horror film director and make a movie on this idea, you will make millions. I've always been into psychological thrillers and this sounds like it could be a defining classic of the genre. I think the most chilling aspect of this is that even after the person transforms into an animal they still retain their human brain (but can't communicate with humans anymore). The real psychological torture here is being forced to live the life of a wild animal while having a human brain.

It's not normal, in the sense that most people don't share your paraphilia.

Out of curiosity, does this turn you on?

    It's from a game I played when I was a kid, Parasite Eve 2.

I have never in my life heard of this fetish but almost anything can become a fetish for anybody. So I say its normal.
