Is it normal to be too nice?

My friends often told me that I'm too kind. I think it's normal to have a good moral and never want someone to be hurt, neither emotionally nor physically. I even try to keep up relationships by giving tips to the girl which I would want myself (I'm a guy), because it makes me so happy to see other people happy, even the assholes. I'm not too short and not weak physically, but people seem to take me for granted and start ignore my wishes... so, is it normal to be that nice?

    Of course its normal. Dont ever try to change who you are, even if your friends think your "too nice." This world needs a lot more people who are kind & positive. Ive always been told..."kindness is contagious" & "what goes around comes back around." Those people who take you for granted will get what they deserve, just keep being you!! :)

    Being nice is a great thing, but there is such thing as being too nice. People will take advantage of your kindness and step all over you. People do this because they see how nice you are and immediately figure out ways to use you to there advantage, which is not good for the both of you. So you should be nice with certain limits and always be aware and contious of what the people around you are doing to you. Also, you should practice being assertive because assertive people actually get what they want and most of the time nice people get left behind. That's why you always hear girls saying " I broke up with him because he was too nice". Its true man you gota face the facts.

    It's normal to be too nice but in today's world, you can't. I was that way when I was younger and was stepped on and used numerous times. Now I'm bitter from it and although it sucks and I wish I could go back to who I was, I don't get used and people know not to mess with me.

    its normal to be nice and honestly we need more of you people in this world full of asses..maybe you just need to be more assertive so you wont end up hating or blaming anyone...make yourself happy too..

    I think it's kinda normal but not enough people like u (& I) around. I get taken advantage of an used aswel coz I'm to nice.
