Is it normal to be this way??

When I get mad I break things/ throw things and maybe yell.
Riight after that I get really depressed and start crying for an hour or two. Then I get really happy, then I get depressed again for a few minutes, then I'm mad for the rest of the day.
... is this normal?? :/

    Stop breaking things coz that's just stupid! Punch a pillow and try herbal Kalms tablets.

    No not normal. If you get so angry you break things there probably some underlying issue bothering you that you're not letting people know. The depression that comes afterwards is most likely due to you subconsciously knowing you did something wrong (i.e. breaking things) or over reacting.
    Mad for the rest of the day is probably a continuum of what I said earlier.

    If you have had anything major happen like having your parents divorce, have a bad relationship break up, or something of the sort, and you haven't talked to anyone about them, that could be it.

    Best way to handle this is to learn to control your emotions. Talk to someone (friend or family) about whats bothering you, try to stop yourself before you go into another bout of rage and break something, and you should feel better.

    You sound like my brother, and a little of me a couple years ago before I learned control. Is very useful :)

  • Get a punching bag or something, so you can blow off some steam without causing some damage and then having to pay for it later.
