I love my boyfriend, we have been through a lot together and he is my first love. BUT, it seems when he screws up or doesn't call me when he says he will, or doesn't keep his word.. etc. It makes me VERY upset.. to the point where i'm bawling because I care so much and feel so hurt. I don't know if this is normal or not. I haven't been like this with any other relationship i've been in.

    I'm by far not a pro at being in relationships, but the few I have been in I made sure the girl understood the fact that I don't believe in "relationship roles". (Ex. The guy doesn't have to call, and the girl doesn't have to make the food when we hang out) Relationships are alot more simple when you throw out all the stupid roles society has created.

    I had that problem with my boyfriend and I sat down and told him this and asked if he understood. He didn't, so I spent weeks continuously trying to figure out what way I could say it where he would understand... Well the point is I had to make a metaphor to him about something precious to him, and he finially understood

    its very normal to worry when you think the other person doesnt care as much as you do. keep it simple though. see if hes just playing tough guy, or if he simply doesnt care, then youll knw if your freaking out over nothing, or your heart is trying to tell you something

    Yes it is normal and very common specialllly if you are young. If he doesnt please you, get another boyfriend.
