I just found out my dad who I haven't seen in 5 years died last year. My mom hasn't told me for a whole year! I'm rly upset about everything. Is this normal?

    I don't know whether your mother was trying to protect you somehow, but I think she's made a huge mistake. Not allowing you the chance to say goodbye to your own father at his funeral is something I think you'll look back on in years to come and be unhappy about.
