Is it normal to be this irregular?

So I've gotten my period when i was 14 going on 15 and It's always been irregular. By irregular i mean, at first, i would be only a month late. Gradually that increased to about 2 months late, then to 3. And it has always been that way. Expect one time last year, i was 5 almost 6 months late. But now i'm back to it being 2 months late. SO my question is; is this normal? Oh and i'm eighteen years old. I've never gotten a checkup or anything because my mom insisted it was only lack of vitamins.

    Normal.
    If you actually go on the pill you will be more regular (usually to the day!)
    But since you are without period for several months at a time you may actually be one of the lucky ones! Don't stop a good thing.
