Is it normal to be this freaked out

When I am turning off the lights before I get in bed I have to jump in cuz I'm afraid someone lives under my bed and will grab my ankles.

It may be normal to a certain age but probably should work on it. how about filling up the space below so that there is no place for anything to live

I do this all the time and whever I reach over to the table next to my bed I try to do this really fast so something doesn't grab my wrists.

  • I do that too. It's pretty normal and also a weird fear.

  • Don't worry. It's a common fear. I can't sleep with my hand hanging off the bed because I fear something will pull me under.

Yeah, when I was a kid something touched my ankle. After that, I did the same thing. As long as you work on it, it's ok to feel this way. Now I just take a big step to get into bed. But I have very long legs.
