Is it normal to be terrified of looking out of windows at night?

I assume it's due to the horror movie staple of having something pop-up while the character is peering out.

I can't seem to rationalize with myself when I do have to walk past uncovered windows at night time, even though I know there's nothing out there. Does anyone else get this?

God Damnit yes, I hadn't thought about this for a while but now I will again for the next week, thanks a lot. Haha, but seriously, you're a dick.

Or try this: going for a pee in the middle of the night but being absolutely terrified of seeing someone else and not your own reflection in the mirror. That'll keep you awake for hours...

I have never looked out the window or my doors peephole at night! I'm too scared!

Yeah that's completely fine, standard case of fear of the unknown. Bit like ppl who are scared of swimming in the open ocean for fear of what lurks below.

I have the exact same fear! I hate it because I can't see outside clearly, but someone outside can see in. I can't sleep in any room if the windows aren't covered at night.

Heck yes! Horror or no horror movie! Humans naturally fear the unknowing! When you cannot see you lose 90% (for real) of your information gathering!! Hence, even if it's a familiar place u still DON'T KNOW! So, MAYBE someone or something could be out there! This creates fear for LOTS of people! Don't sweat it! :)
