Is it normal to be tempted to date one of your tas?

I'm a sophomore and my TA is a post-doc in my lab. He doesn't score my homework or grade my lab reports. He does most of the instrument calibration. Since late September he's been really chatty with me. At first I thought it was because, hey, I'm the only girl in the lab, and we're both super-Battlestar geeks. But last week he dropped a question I couldn't miss. And when I was locking up my parts in the storage room after everyone else had left, he stuck around to help. At one point he reaches over and above me to put a piece of equipment on a high shelf and I SWEAR the dude brushed it against me. ... ... Our school has a strict policy prohibiting undergrads and grads or faculty from, you know. They've even threatened couples with expulsion.

But the dude and I can talk for HOURS about things we both like. I don't have any problem with the 14 year age difference. I think older dudes are really, really hot. Has anyone ever dated an authority figure from school? Did it blow up on you? Did you enjoy the experience? The year's almost over. I guess I could wait?
