Is it normal to be tasting blood when i cough

It all happened at work. We were having a big Valentines Day dinner. We had these little fuel containers that were small enough to put under chafin dishes (or whatever they're called) and the smell was horrible. First l got hit with a headache and everywhere l went there was that smell. And soon enough after work a yelling match with my significant other, on Valentines Day! Then till now. 4 A.M. I'm laying in bed, with that headache, l was coughing lightly at work. But now i'm coughing really bad, and each time l can taste blood at the back of my throat. The coughing hurts my chest and throat. HELP :(

    Im a surgeon and im not saying you have severe issues but you must see a specalist soon!

    Well the coughing was for Bronchittus. but I was very sick for 3 days with a bunch of fevers, body aches and such. as for those they are gone. but I still have the cough

    Well I have this sometimes but it's because my nose is bleeding pretty often lately caused by some medication I take... But as the blood can run down your throat this maybe a reason for tasting blood while coughing...

    No!!!! This could be a sign of internal bleeding or some other serious condition. I used to cough up small pieces/dots of blood when I was younger but I never went to a doctor about it. When I'm sick and I cough, I have gotten a metallic taste in my mouth or strangely enough, the back of my throat. I do urge you to see a doctor ASAP. Good Luck and keep us posted!

    I've heard of this but I forgot why people get it. You should really see the doctor to check what's wrong. Some people who get this (and just some) are really sick.
