Is it normal to be struck down by god?

Last year I was at a Zumba class and the leader is a Christian and my cousin. Anyhow, she started praising God and I said "Oh no, here she goes again!" Wham! That was it - I couldn't take a single step because my back gave way and I fell to the ground. I looked up and said, "Hey God, I was only joking!" Anyhow, I was laid up for 4 weeks and couldn't walk. Eventually, I went to an osteopath and got my back fixed.

I discussed it with my cousin and explained I was only joking and God gave me this personality, now HE wouldn't let me use it.

I'm only wondering because of the amount of blaspheming on this site? Is it normal to have learnt my lesson this way?

    I though god was merciful, but no, turns out if you say those sarcastic words, god will paralyze you.

    I thought he was supposed to make us love "him".
    NOT FEAR "HIM".

    Thanks for telling us he's a vengeful god, like any other dictator. Now I'll rebel myself to him and make him my enemy.

    It looks like some of us are still stuck in the middle ages, mentally speaking. -.-

    I say a lot of derogatory things about God and I haven't been "struck down" lol. I don't believe in God though. It was probably just a coincidence, if there was a God I doubt he would randomly strike people down for things like that, especially when people do and say much worse things.

    Dunno why any of you think I'm joking! My cousin is a born again Christian who used to do drugs etc and He just wouldn't allow me to make fun of her efforts. Simple.

    I do believe God is merciful, but you do have to ask for forgiveness. We don't 'love' anthing or anyone that allows us to abuse them. Then we just regard them as fools and doormats.

    Is this a joke? God IS the higher power and He can do anything he wants, but I've never heard of anything like that happening. There are so many people who don't believe in God, but I've never heard of them getting "struck down." This sounds Google-worthy....

    I think, even though I don't believe in God, it could be true. I mean, not neccesarily that particular God, seeing as there's so many from so many different cultures, but yes, it is possible.
    Maybe you were just unlucky. Maybe it was God. Either way, we will never know.
