Is it normal to be still living with my mom at this age?

Okay so I'm 28 years old and I still live with my mom. I don't like it, but it's nothing I can't do right now. I'm trying my best to live on my own.

Well... why isn't there anything you can do about it? Can you not find a job and move out?

As long as you're both happy, there is really no problem. Potential significant others might not see it as a positive though.

I'm 24 and still live with my family. We sometimes joke that we're more like roommates that just happen to be a family - everyone (even parents) live their own life with other partners and well, it's normal to me. :)

  • Perfectly normal if you don't want to move out or leave your mum by herself. Who's to say its not normal?

  • Unless you've got a mental illness, like social anxiety, crippling depression or any other illness, not necessarily mental, that prevents you from living alone, it's normal.

I'm 23 and still live at home but I have my own issues to deal with and really, putting me in a house/apartment on my own... nah, not a good idea :P

As long as you two get on OK I don't see any problem.

More common nowadays, but you should be working or finding income, and so helping with the bills would be appreciated.

If you can't, then pick up a pell grant to go to college.
I put out 20 applications a day for a month to get a job. If you're not trying as hard as me then I must say, you're wasting your time and you need to be out doing other things while you are looking for work.
