Is it normal to be so skinny?

I'm 5'5 and 92 pounds. I've never had a problem with eating too little. I eat a lot, but I never gain anything. I've been tall and skinny my whole life. Whenever I tell people my weight they immediatly think I have an eating disorder, which I don't. I don't starve myself, I don't throw up to make myself skinnier. Am I normal?

Yep you're underweight but better to be than be a sloppy fat ass..most people who think you're too skinny are probably overweight and haters.

You just have a really high metabolism. If you feel healthy I'd say all is well and you are perfectly norma; but if you feel weak, sore, tired or nausea all the the time i'd try having protein shakes or seeing a doctor.

  • Depends. How old are you? If you are young, don't go on birth control if you don't want to gain weight. I used to be the sane way. Now I gain weight way too easy.

Yeah its metabolism man, it will slow down when you get older maybe, maybe not. Im the same, im 6"1 and im 147 lbs, and the only weight I gain is from lifting weights, eating a lot more than normal and maybe some creatine to help the muscles.
Go train man, we skinny fellas have the luck to get ripped reaaaally easy, so with just a bit of lift weight youll get an amazing body bro.

I have two friends who are extremely skinny, and they eat just as much junk as me, maybe even more. Neither of them are really athletic or tall, which is quite surprising.
It's normal and probably to do with genetics

Im the exact same way i'm 6' and only weigh 120 pounds and my doctors say its completally since i'm very healthy and active its completally normal for me. I eat well and in fact I might eat a little too well but I never gain weight in fat only bone / muscle from growing etc. A good way to gain weight if you are concerned about it is to try some light to moderate weight training or any physical activity could help. But yeah completally normal especially if you feel healthy.

Same here. I've been told I'm at an unhealthy weight, but whatever I eat or do doesn't help.

I am jealous about your good genetics for food processing but it is normal. You just process food and probably ear better than most people.
