Is it normal to be so paranoid?

I believe in ghosts, and things like that, and when I try to sleep at night, I think I'm making myself hear voices. I can't sleep in silence, because I can always hear my house (which is over 110 years old) creak, and it sounds like someone walking around. I'm overly paranoid that I'm being watched, and haunted. The feeling just won't go away, and I hate feeling so frightened all the time. Is it normal to feel this way?

Uh, not sure... Maybe you should tell youself that it's all in your immagination. Or when you are scared at night, listen to music or something to distract you.

when you feel this way, its often not you being paranoid. this is the feeling of being "watched". maybe there is a spirit in your home, and you know its there.

    ghosts are real.

being in denial about this phenomena is not a good therapy for relieving how you feel. you should do some research on ghost ridding!!

    good luck,

Often times being that afraid of things that fall into the less believable or paranormal category can be a substitute for things your subconcious is really afraid of. When we have nebulous fears our minds rush to fill in the blanks with whatever is nearby - rational or not. Not feeling safe in your home or in your bed could be related to another different or burried fear - or could be just too many scary movies or books.

Trust yourself listen to your fears and face them down - only by taking them out into the light and examining them closely will you be able to tell if it is a reasonable fear or not - forget about the normal for this one.
