Is it normal to be so open with best friend

My best friend is happily married to a beautiful woman. I am single. We've been best friends for over 25 years.

Over the years, we've hung out a lot together. Frequently, when we've gone out to bars and I've "struck out" we'll hang out togehter for a while after the bars close, usually swimming at a pond, going to the beach or something while continuing to drink.

But many times I'm usually pretty horny and can't wait to get home to jerk off. But we have a good time hanging out together. There's been a few times I couldn't wait and have jerked in front of him. It's been while he's driving, while we're just sitting on the beach of a pond or the ocean, or in my living room while we down a few beers and chat. He doesn't mind as he understands what it's like to be single and horny. He acts as though it's nothing different than anything else and says he's cool with it.

We've never done anything gay like. Neither one of us has those tendencies. But sometimes he'll egg me on while I beat it. is it normal that we are both comfortable enough for me to do this in front of him?
