Is it normal that I look through people I work with emails and files just because they have given me access and I can, I check there email as much as my own as I am so nosey. I am trying to stop and only check in an emergency when I am supposed to but I am so nosey....

    Would you like someone going through your email? If not then don't go through anyone elses. On the other hand if you wouldn't care at all then just think about whether the person who's email your going through would feel.

    That is a huge breach of trust. I was responsible for dealing with someone who had been reading his ex-girlfriend's email (they both worked with me). We classed his actions as gross misconduct and we sacked him, effective immediately. This was four years ago and he has yet to find another job due, in part, to no one being willing to trust him.
