Is it normal to be so infatuated with mythological cretures?

So this comes in a strange way. I love to study mythology, alot. When it comes to things like the greek hydra or the norse nidhog, I know those are just stories. But recently ive become infatuated with the mermaid. After researching some, ive found that almost all cultures have some kind of creture like the mermaid. I dont buy into "sailors mistook manitees for mermaids" theyd either have to be blind, drunk, or stupid. Im realy convinced that they are real, and out there. Am I the only one like this?

    Most cultures have stories about mystical creatures because they were real in ancient history. Even the bible talks about dragons and a god that was half man half fish called the god Dagon.

    It's definitely normal. I used to believe in fantasy creatures and think it was something important. Then i discovered the pre-Christian religions community and now I believe in that.

    I believe in alot of things mermaids, werewolves, dragons and vampires to name a few. So to me atleast your normal.

    Considering alcohol was a good source of calories on the high seas, easily portable and preserved, it may not be too far off to say that they were always drunk!

    I do the same thing. I've been doing it since I've been a child. Todays society makes everything seem hard to believe but in reality anythings possible. I've always believed in mermaids and aliens and dragons. When I went to Greece, I saw a real dragons body in a cave. Some scientists were taking it out to investigate... But Americans think they're mythical creatures. I strongly believe in aliens ... And last month I was starring up At the sky and saw a bright floating thing. It looked like a giant star and it moved so fast. I knew what it was , and I've been waiting for this moment for years. Keep believing.. Eventually you'll see things
