Is it normal to be so homesick?

I moved here a couple of years ago and I really miss my home country. It wasn't my choice to move here, but every day I think about my home country and I miss it so badly sometimes I cry. I plan on moving back as soon as possible, but I'm wondering if anyone else has ever felt this way.
