Is it normal to be so childish n have my hubby read me bedtime stories

Ok, so yes i am 22 and common law hubby is 23. I have aspergers so I don't know if that has anything to do with it, maybe it's a comfort thing but I still collect teddy bears and my hubby gives me a massage every night with baby lotion and I still use baby bullbe bath and shampoo (I like gentle things and I have chronic back pain). But mostly it's that I get him to read me a bedtime story almost every night or part of a book. I fall asleep listening to the sound of his voice. My mom used to do the same thing and it helped prevent my nightmares. It also helps prevent them when he does it. I'm on odsp and can't work at this point. I write stories and read a lot myself. I enjoy my bedtime routine and he doesn't mind.

no. not normal but its okay. 2

That is sweet. You have a keeper! I agree hearing someone read a story is soothing.

I wouldn't know any better but it doesn't sound like an asperger's thing. I've heard of couples where one might embrace the life of a child and the other one caters towards that person and acts as a father or mother.

I'm a fellow Aspie. As for it being normal or not to have you partner read to you at night before you sleep... WHO CARES! As long as you're both okay with it and you both enjoy it and it helps you out, it shouldn't really matter if it's normal or not. Some people simply like being read to and it soothes them. Some people simply find the voice of the reader really soothing and that helps them relax. It could be a combination of both! But regardless of which it is... as long as both of you are happy and it doesn't interfere with anything in either life... it's perfectly okay. :)

I love to read women's erotica to women in bed when I can get a weekend date. When the story is over, I kiss my date good night. Usually she will wake me up around 2 am and be a desparate ravaging love machine.

PS. The plot thickens during the night.

That's so cute & sweet! :3 I have asperger's too and sometimes when I lie in bed, I will hug myself and hum my favorite songs until I fall asleep. I find it soothing because my parents used to sing me to sleep when I was a young child.

That's fine. Especially if you have aspbergers and it calms you before sleep. As long as you aren't loading yourself up with prescription meds to acheive the same effect. Massages and bed time stories are okay. It does sound fuckin adorable too btw lol
