Is it normal to be so attached to your hair?
I have always had long hair. About 5 years ago, I went to get a trim. I told the girl to just get rid of the split ends. She said 4 inches at the most. My hair went to the bottom of my butt. She turned me around and started messing with it. It felt like she was cutting it short so I stopped her, but she said she was just combing out a knot. After about 20 minutes, I turned to ask wth she was doing, and I saw a strand of my hair on the ground. It was about 2 feet long. I jumped up and looked in the mirror, and she had cut it to chin length. As bad as I wanted to grab that razor and kill her, I screamed at her and left without paying. I told anyone that would listen about it, and she went out of business after a momth or so. I was so happy she lost her business.
3 years ago, I was tattooing (not professionally, i just bought a kit to put a few on myself, and a few friends had me do some on them). This guy cut a huge chunck of my hair off with his pocket knife. He refus3d to apologize amd said he did it because it was taking to long to get set up. It had only been a minute though. He wanted a Browning Buck logo. I gave him Snoopy with antlers.
So far, I played a huge role in running a young girl out of business and permanantly messed up someones body just because they messed with my hair. I realize that this doesnt seem healthy, but is it normal to hold something as simple as hair in such reguard?
I would appreciate the input from other people with long hair, but all are welcome. You short hair people just dont seem to understand lol :P
