Is it normal to be single for a long time after your first boyfriend?

so i had my first love and boyfriend when i was in high school...i broke up with him after we graduated because he complained much about my attitude..he said i wasn't acting my age because i always take things lightly..see he's the type of guy who really minds about right and wrong and everything..so i both did us a favor and broke up with him..i really did love him and maybe until now i do..that's what im trying to think because its been 3 years and im still not dating anyone...some part of me is still afraid that no guy might ever take me seriously because of ME..and people say that i havent moved on because i have no boyfriend..does this make sense?is it normal?:)

Why do you have to date someone to be normal?

Just be yourself and eventually you'll find someone who's right for you.

3 years doesn't sound normal. However, normal is highly overrated in matters of the heart. Do what you feel is right. If you don't think you're ready, that's fine. It's your life, after all.

Oh, and by the way, that guy didn't deserve you. When you are ready, I would recommend you find someone that does.
