Is it normal to be sick of someone who's complaining too much ?

Hey. I'm 18 and my boyfriend is in his early 30's. We've connected on so many levels because we've been through the same shit(abuse). I thought that there was no better person than him for a looong time. He's helped me a lot by being patient and listening to me. But now when I feel better and he's having bad months I'm getting pissed off. I'm so sick of him complaining about the same things. The idea of not talking to him all day seemed weird before, but I actually do it on purpose now. He's never in a good mood and won't even ask how's my day. . Am i being a complete egoist? Sorry if my english is bad.

Whoa 30? Really girl? Come on. It is normal to be irritated with people that complain a lot, yes. I think most people have met that kind of person before. I have this friend that I try to ignore because she is always complaining about her life and how much it sucks blah blah blah. It is beyond annoying. It's ok to help people after something tragic happens, but if they just want to complain that can be a poisonous person. Don't be around people that give off bad energy or bring you down.

Well he is 30 so he probobly been through a lot more shit. He also might be dealing with mid life crises and is not like you who are just starting your life. You really should not be hooked up with a 30 year old to begin with. I don't understand why someone your age would look for such an age gap.

Twelve years is a pretty big age gap. Do you have anything in common besides a shared history of past trauma? Maybe it's time to move on from this guy? Try to find someone closer to your age.
