I can not vaccum my basement alone. I think it's because I dont feel as safe in my basement so I need the best hearing possible. I just feel when ever I try, something will be behind me while I'm vaccuming and I won't know because of the noise of the vaccuming! Is it normal? Please help! Thanks!
^ Interesting, I always thought it was because basements are closer to Hell and The Devil and demons and burning souls of sinners like rapists and stuff. At least that's what they told us in Sunday School.

What you are experiencing likely has nothing to do with anything fearful or supernatural.
Basements scare people. I can't explain it as well as other paranormal experts, but electromagnetic energy is in tact in a basement (very concentrated) due to wiring and the "source" of electricity/hot water, etc. (You know, the fuse box/ pipes, etc?)
Not to sound cracked, but the energy (electromagnetic) can give you the same sensations as "being watched" or getting the eebie jeebies. So, remember that when you vacuum. Knowledge is the key to letting go of fear. Good luck
yeah its ok it's just paranoia. Sometimes creepy places where you sacrifice your aware/alertness make you perk up your fears
I used to clean office buildings while I was in college. Most of them had to be done at night after everyone had left. I hated to run the vacuum when I was alone in a building. If a psychotic murdering fiend broke in, I wouldn't have heard it and he would know just where to find me!
Oh he'll yes!! I don't even go down there, make my husband go. We have friends that entertain in theirs and I'm uncomfortable the entire time were there. Give that chore to someone else....
