Is it normal to be scared of store stealing detectors
when i was a kid i would go to the mall to steal stuff often. one day i messed up and walked out the store and those detectors started beeping. blood started rushing and my heart was beating so fast. I started feeling lightheaded but i played it cool. fortunately i had big baggy pants and they didnt suspect a thing. so they just told me to leave.
Ever since then i stoped stealing and everytime i am about to walk towards those detectors i get anxious and i think to myself if any bar code tags got stuck to my body somehow or something similar

    When I was a kid I shop lifted pretty much anything I wanted jeans, tops, cosmetics, make up, shoes, handbags all the stuff I stole was high end I never stole cheap stuff never got caught not even almost caught its not that I had to steal have a great family I always had cash just didn't want to spend my money on stuff I could get for free and parents never suspected a thing cos I had a job they assumed I bought it anyways I stopped doing that years ago and never have a fear of metal detectors, security guards etc maybe its cos I'm generally arrogant and competitive ! Hope you get over your fears though just tell yourself it was in the past

    lol you should go steal from a store in the ghetto but then you would have to get worried about getting shot.

    Yeah me too, but for a different reason. When i was small i was looking at a cd, my parents walked out of the store and i wanted to show them it (iwas about 5 and didnt know about metal detectors). Anyway it went off and scared the christ out of me. Ever since i have always been nervous around them.

    I've never stolen and I still hate them! They just go off for no reason sometimes

    My phone made it go off once in HMV, even though I bought it from a different store legitimately. I hate those things
