Is it normal to be scared of crowds
I'm super terrified of being in a tight space or in a big crowd. I feel light headed if multiple people are a certain lenth close to me. Is this weird or normal?

It sounds like some kind of social anxiety. You should talk with someone about this.
Normally I am not afraid of crowds. But recently I was at a parade. At least a million or more people were there. I was close to the front. We were all elbow to elbows. Couldn't see much except for the bugs that was in this one persons hair. He was right in front of me. Those bugs had wings! He was always scratching. I couldn't back up, turn around, nothing. Then I realized I was really stuck. Just a small panic set in. But I took deep breaths.
That's the only time I ever panicked. But I do see your point. Just start out small like the above poster said. Coffee shops...etc.
It's common but unhealthy.
Only through facing a fear can truly conquer it so the only way you'll ever be free of this is to do those things you'd usually avoid.Go to coffee shops, spend hours out in public at stores and cafes and I'm sure you'll beat this.
