Is it normal to be scared of black people

They are always rapping and being loud in the streets. A lot them carry weapons and hurt people. I am from a small town and have never met a black person so all I know is what I see on the tv

I was at the gas station on my way to work the other day, and an suv pulled up all crooked in the middle of the parking lot, about 15 black people jumped out, left all the doors open, and started blaring some rap and dancing like maniacs all over the parking lot. Im not particularly racist, but this behavior does scare me, I mean, if I pulled up in the projects, started blasting nickelback, jumped on my hood and started air guitaring, they'd probably be a little afraid of me too.

I know that it is irrational but I have a slight fear of African men. I am not a racist and I think that the reason for my irrationality is due to how I was as a child. The belief/fear that all straight men were dangerous got instilled in me from a young age. The area in which I lived was predominately African so, I guess that it is only natural that I got fearful the most of African men. I don't consider myself having the fear, but the uneasiness still remains. However, I've noticed that it mainly comes up with men of a more urban culture/style, which has its roots in yet another brainwashing method from my mother's side of the family. I am well aware that this is unfair and in correct so, please, don't start accusing me of things.

Many of them are like that I have been mentally, psychically and socially abused by black people and I am black. To be honest though they are bad eggs in every basket If you met me I would probably change your view : I love getting inspiration from clothing from the Victorians ,I despise rap and hip-hop, I am actually very short and thin with europeanish features, I am wiccan ,vegetarian etc. But then again there are those who are more like me ,who don't act like the tv stereotype but there are many who do . Then again there are people of many ethnicities who behave in a way that may make them appear just gross. So I guess the answer to your question is it just depends on the person .

Lol TV portrays stereotypes. Watch 24- if you do not fall in love with David Palmer the President you are crazy!
I have met about 2 black people in my life who fit your steroetype, but then again I've met even more white people who are like that.
Not everybodies the same, please don't fall into this trap of judging people because of their skin colour, it's just wrong.

  • You are a troll, but you bring up an important point: Most people judge black people based on TV stereotypes.
