i've went to school once after taping a tampon onto my arm thinking it was a big bandaid.

my teacher laughed and confiscated it :/

my advice: don't wear it to school :D

Lesson learned. When you only THINK something is a big bandaid, don't use it, hahaha.

When I first had my period, I struggled with using tampons, too. There is no need to be scared of them; they just take some getting used to. I would recommend lying down and relaxing your body and then trying to insert the tampon very slowly. The blood should act as a natural lubricant anyway. Nowadays, I use applicator tampons, which I find more convenient (they weren't around at the time I was a teen) If it doesn't work, try another time. It took me a few attempts, but it's defnitely worth it.

It is SO normal I was terrified my first time but it is super easy, and it's basically all I wear now:) it only took me a day to get it and it's not that hard. Ik I'm repaying myself, but you'll be fine :)

I actually tried to start using tampons last summer and I was so scared that I couldn't bring myself to try!

I started my periods six years ago and still use only pads. I found tampons really uncomfortable :/

at first, i was terrified, and i know that almost everyone i know had the same issue. i finally got over it and just tried them, and now i love them and that is almost the only thing that i use! after you get used to it, i think that they are much more comfortable.

So it took me years to finally use one I was terrified as well but you know it isnt really that bad. I mean you get used to it and after a while you dont even feel it anymore I prefer them now!

I personally recommend using a brand you're comfortable with.

It gets pretty easy as you get use to it.

And it's a little uncomfortable when you pull them out dry. really.

The first time I ever actually thought of using one I was freaked out of my mind and thought they were so gross the first time I got my period. But after a year and a half of using a pad it felt like I was using a diaper and I felt messy and chunky and one day I was just sick of the pad and tried a tampon thanks to the help of a diagram on the package. It hurt for the first couple of times but after a while I got used to it and was so glad I switched! If u really feel like ur ready to try a tampon try it and the best part is that if u don't like it, u always have a pad!

    yes it is normal.
Tampons are only good to use for a short period of time during a day. Maybe an hour or two but no more. They usually don't absorb all the releasing blood from a mentrual cycle. They aarent very healthy and have a lot of effects on the body such as blood clots and can usually have bad effect on both the menstrual cycle and the body itself. Yes, pads are sometimes very uncomfortable but they are alot safer to use than pads. The only effect a pad can have on the body is maybe an irritation of the skin due to the rubbing edges of the panty lining. I would recommend the uncomfortable pad the nthe tamptom but its your choice and be wary of all effects. (:
    Be happy, be healthy. hahaha
