Is it normal to be sad/heartbroken about finishing a tv show?

I've recently watched the entire Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra series and I'm very sad that I won't be able to watch any new episodes anymore. I feel like I've grown an attachment to all the characters and I'm finding that I'm missing them a lot more than I think I should, especially given how obviously one-sided the "relationship" is.

I felt this way when I finished a TV show called 'Lost'. It was amazing and I just want to watch all 6 seasons over and over and over. It's not not normal. But you know it is a TV show.

It's completely normal. It happens all the time with the shows I watch, and books I read.

Normal to be a bit sad, but not normal to be heartbroken
