Is it normal to be sad about a death of someone i never knew?

I'm really sad that "The Reverend" (aka The Rev) of Avenged Sevenfold died. I'm a guy and I'm in love with Avenged Sevenfold and I recently found out the The Rev died.. (yes I now know that he died a few years ago) Is it normal to feel really hurt that he died?

The Rev really was a funny and lovable guy, even if you don't know a person personally, you can still get deeply attached to them.

I was absolutely crushed when I found out that he had died...

Yeah, I feel the same. I've loved the band Bayside for slightly over a year. The guy who played drums died in a crash. It's sad because he was so young & seemed like a great guy.

I think you cant get down on these kind of things. We will all die. focus on the positives not negatives.

I am always like that! Once, my mom told me that her friends aunt had died, I have never even met her, and I croed for three days!

I'm the same way. Anyone can come up to me and tell me a random stranger died and I'd feel so sad. :( Deaths are not nice.
