Is it normal to be relaxed by people spewing bullshit?

Whenever I hear someone calmly speak and act knowledgeable about something completely made up (religious fanaticism, outrageous conspiracy theories, etc.), I get instantly relaxed. I like hearing experts on actual truth, but it's not quite as relaxing because then I feel like I should be learning from what they say. I especially like watching older videos of people talking about their false knowledge because then it feels like I'm in a completely different world. Anyone else have this reaction to insane people speaking their minds?

EDIT: Just to be clear, I like listening to conspiracy theorists on the internet, not in person. In real life, it's extremely annoying because I don't want to agree with those people and feed into the BS or disagree with them and end up in a futile argument.

Same here, I'm so used to the people around me constantly talking about dumb bullshit as if they're some rebel scientist who found the truth "The Man" doesn't want us to know. I just nod along and try not to come across as dismissive while they drone on for literal hours about how the earth is a fucking klein bottle built by turkish people to please the nephilim or some shit. I love it. As fucked up as it is to say so, it makes me feel superior to them

      Ooooh, the Nephilim!

I haven't heard of them for a while.

My favourite whackjobs are those who have jumped into David Icke's delusional worldview and believe that every person in a position of power is either literally an alien, blood-drinking, shape-shifting reptilian humanoid or is possessed by such a creature.

        Those'll always be classic

I really like the more pointless theories, like the No Forests on Flat Earth one where the gist of it was that mountains are actually just giant tree trunks and the actual trees we plant don't exist somehow.

I'd never heard of that one, so thanks for the additional evidence that the only thing which will never be determined by science is the depth of human idiocy.

Well, I'm going to probably annoy you on this one. I'm partially a conspiracy theorist lol. And I know a lot people can't stand them. We get labeled "dumb","wacko", "delusional" I've heard it all before. There are different types. It's also important how we deliver that message to others. Each person is different just so you know.

Im actually born very spiritual meaning I had the ability as a child to communicate with Spirits. My siblings were able to have many encounters as children too. My brother seen creepy and dark demonic beings unfortunately. My other brother could somehow see in a different realm where there were tall Ant-like Extraterrestrial beings. And my older sister seen Spirits/Ghosts who were EarthBound that died and stayed in those areas.
At 16 after a while, I began to research about it all. Talk to my parents about it. And in my lineage it's passed on by both of my parents. My Mother also had many spirit encounters. My father seen dark beings. As a teenager both my brother and I seen at the same time a Full Black Shadown Man walk in the hallway. No kidding! We still talk about "the shadow man" and how that place was haunted.
One thing I realized is this. We should not ever ignore the information that isn't seen with the human eye. When a child says they are "talking" to someone best believe they are! Because I was that child I played with a spirit man who lived around the 1930s. I used to invite him to play offer him food all the time.
Just so you know, the whole Alien stuff is real sorry not sorry. I seen a UFO disc as I walked home from Highschool I seen many lights and odd bright lights in the sky.
There is a reason why this was all hidden. It was because there's a lot missing to the puzzle that they don't want us to know. It's up to us Humans to REMEMBER all of this. It's real the whole Atlantis the Lumeria the Stars, Planets, Dimensions.
People are Awakening to their HigherSelf there are LightBeings that work for the Greater Good of Humanity and yes there is the DarkOnes who work to destroy, take over, and to keep our people in a lower energy. The ones who are Awakened, like myself and many others. Or who came in with many gifts is because they REMEMBER their Soul Mission on Earth. Or also because their Soul is somehow Strong enough to hold the forgotten DNA and Memories of the Higher Dimensions. I hope all is well. And I know that Humans are beginning to Awaken to the Truth. Maybe now you don't understand watch one day you will.

Given that you don’t actually know with certainty (provably) what is or isn’t bs in many instances your post is made somewhat invalid by its own standards.

    I like you, you’re funny.

Nothing can be known with certainty. Nonetheless, when I spot what I perceive to be a logical flaw, I call bullshit.

Annoyance tends not to relax me, in fact people who annoy me tend to do just the opposite.

If you just sit there calmly taking in their nonsensical crap, they take that as validation and confirmation that you agree.

There's no point in using facts to try to persuade these people that they're wrong. If you do that, they'll just dig deeper in the bullshit to try to defend their irrational, ill-informed, anti-science and counter-factual views. If you keep pushing, they'll eventually end up claiming that it's impossible to know if anything is really true, and your inability to demonstrate to them - right there and then - that what they're claiming is false is obviously evidence that it's true.

Half of the world's population is dumber than average, and the average person really ain't that bright or well-informed. And a huge problem with stupid people is that they're too damn dumb to comprehend just how ignorant they are. Once someone with a poor grasp of science, history, politics and psychology gets sucked into a mindset where everything bad that happens in their life and in the world around them can be explained by the operation of a malign, invisible force - be that Satan, the Illuminati, George Soros or any of a million other occult powers - they're in an internally-consistent realm where there is no logic and literally anything can be explained with utter nonsense.

Conspiracy theories are appealing because we all want to believe that the world follows a few simple rules that we're capable of comprehending and everything happens for reasons that we can understand. If you're stupid, you're incapable of understanding much, so the rules you can comprehend are simplistic to the point of absurdity. What makes it worse is that most of us would like to believe that we're not responsible for the bad things that happen in our lives. It's not a big step to go from that to believing that some other person or force in the shadows must be to blame.

I refuse to waste a moment of my life listening to these idiots. And as I said, arguing with them is pointless because they're invested in their delusions, and you can't cure a stupid person of stupidity if they see no reason to put in the effort necessary to learn.
