..ectomorph? I've been talking to this one girl that I sit next to in class since the beginning of the semester(Jan) and we seem to have clicked from the beginning. Anyways, shes this preppy type of girl that wears Hollister,Abercrombie,etc and even works at Hollister. Shes all about style and likes to take care of herself. Well I was developing a crush on her and decided to make a move during the last few weeks of school. I asked her out and her reply was: "Sorry but I don't date ectomorphs." In my mind I was like,wtf?What's an ectomorph? So I just told her "Oh ok" and left it at that. I'm not even a real ectomorph. I'm in between being an ectomorph and a mesomorph. I felt inferior when that happened. Is this normal to be rejected like that?

    Am I the only one who doesn't see a big deal in it? That girl knows what body type she's attracted to. You have a different body type - therefore, she's not attracted to you.

    Sure, she could have phrased it better, like "sorry, you're not my type". But at least she was honest - I myself appreciate that in humans very much.

    Just goes to show how shallow girls really are. I'm not saying all of them, but the majority of them are. For every 10 females, roughly 7 of them are shallow.

      In pretty tired of hearing this complaint from guys. "Most girls are shallow" or "nice guys finish last". That's not really the case. In your description you say she was all about fashion and taking care of her self.
      YOU decided to pursue a girl that was all about her image and was probably very superficial and then you're all surprised when she acts accordingly to her personality, rejecting you because of her superficiality.

      Most girls are NOT shallow, you just chose to pursue an obviously shallow girl and now you're sad because she acted shallow.

        Ok, let me prioritize what the kid means. Most pretty, or hot girls are shallow. I know, I've dated many girls with many different personalities to figure this out, but I won't lie. I did find that the best girls are usually the quiet one's who are just in the background. They always turn out to have the best and sometimes wild personalities, kid some advise from a guy who actually was a bodybuilder/"A" grade student to date all these snobby girls back in highschool. Date the unexpected, they're usually the best!

    Well no. I have NEVER heard anyone use those terms to describe someone and I don't think most outside of body building do. Yes its okay to have preferences but to diss someone in that manner shows that she wouldn't have been a good choice anyway. Think about it, if someone was a round-ish person, what would sound better, "Sorry, I'm not looking right now." or "Sorry, I don't date big boned people." You can have a preference but blunt honesty about that isn't a very nice or adult way of handling it.
