Is it normal to be really shy around girls?

I havnt had a girlfriend or been on a date probrobly because I'm very shy and don't make moves in fear of getting shot down... Any advice?(in not a stereotypical nerd either)

    Look there are 3,385,657,600 girls in the world, (minus my sister who's off limits!) who cares if you turned down by one of them. They probably wont ask you, so if you don't ask then its an automatic NO! Just dress up nice and clean, put a smile on you face even if you feel like $h!t, and have tons of confidence or fake it and ask the girl out! Good Luck!

    The worst that could "normally" happen is that she says she's not interested. This shouldn't mean the end of the world. Turn it the other way around and imagine a girl would come talk to you in an interested way, even if you find her ugly, you'd be flattered, it's always nice to feel you're attractive
