Is it normal to be racist?

I feel like I'm kind of racist. I mean, I don't hate people that are other races or nationalities (I'm which by the way, as I'm sure you already assumed). But, I just don't find most people of other nationalities as attractive as white people, maybe its because we're similar and familiar. And also I feel like a bad person when I say like "black people ..." and its only because the "..." part is just something that is mostly black people. like "black people scare me", its not really that i'm scared of blacks, its just the black people that are in gangs and live in DC or NYC or whatever, people that are middle class or whatever and black or whatever i'm fine with.

You only feel bad because whenever a white person talks about another race the first thing that pops into peoples heads is that the white person is being racist. It's ridiculous.

It's normal to feel more comfortable around people that are like you just try not to get trapped into stereotypes. Oh and I'd cut down on the amount of times you use the word "whatever". ;-)

This is actually considered normal for a White person but yes it's not good. Maybe it is normal to feel scared of Black people unless you know them quite well but It's best to not show you are scared outside and be calm and collected. I'm actually Indian and I could be scared of rednecks and Whites. I've heard many stories about White Supremacists and really they look like any other White person to me, that obviously would make me scared when I see any White person but then again, You must have read alot of stories on serial killers and you can't distinguish between them and normal people. It's good to be open to every race and not judge them based on it, there are some problems out there in this world but you would know when to avoid some person from the way they talk to you.
